Hello everyone,

First I would like to say "thank you" for this amazing forum. I took a careful read before posting my first thread and since I know something about you, I feel it's time to introduce myself as well.

My name is George and I am a professional club DJ for 12 years now. I had a successful career as a DJ and promoter in my country (Bulgaria) but moved to London a year ago, because of a....girl. Starting everything from scratch is a bit difficult when you're 31, so for the last year I didn't had a lot of club DJ work, but focused on my other passion - sound. I work as a live sound engineer for few venues and also had the chance to work for one of the Funktion One dealers in London. But for good or bad I find it hard to be employed by someone else, so decided to start my own business. Two months ago a friend of mine asked me to do their corporate event and this is how the idea of getting into mobile disco came up. I already had a decent setup (which I brought from Bulgaria as well) - few Funktion One's + my DJ gear, so I just had to buy a bit of lights and hardware to complete the system. Thanks to this forum I gathered a lot of essential information about the mobile disco business incl. PLI, PAT, pricing etc. Reading trough the forum I consider myself to be average priced DJ, and one thing I wanted to avoid is getting on the market with cheap prices. I have a few videos from my last gigs which I will upload a bit later. Well I think that's all for now. hello george..how you doing..
had a stint as a dj in party street in sunny beach for a season...i was burn't out in 3 months..
can't remember the name of the place..it was upstairs across from a hotel full of swedes and danish and norwegian youngsters..who used to come in every night and get me pissed...
so did the manager..who plied me endlessly with "glenmorangie"..every nite !!!!
still in contact with a few bulgarian djs, mainly in sofia and varna areas...

good to hear from you..

@whisper - Hope you had a good time there, apart from the drunken Scandinavians and the Bulgarian "managers". I have actually played there just once 10 years ago at club Mania. Not a big fan of Sunny Beach though. You probably worked at Orange?

was well over ten years ago..just a boy then...
been asked to go over to sofia..just for visit with friends...but never ever get around to it...
maybe this year though..but i've said that the last ten years...lol
