I have programmed in 3 simple chases into the Commander.

A - Bank 1 chase 1 - 5 par cans on red and 2 scanners flying about.

B - Bank 2 chase 2- 5 par cans on blue and 2 scanners flying about

C - Bank 30 chase 1 - 5 cars on mellow blue/red and scanners pink and blue.

The thing is I want to use C for the first dance and I don't know how to isolate it, because at the moment all three are following each other and it's far too energetic for the situation.

Also I can't seem to stop the others and go straight to the Bank 30, they all keep palying.

Bit of a prob for me so any help would be great.

Cheers.

ive found that if you select program mode, then back again to playback mode,

then selct what chase you want, it stays on that chase,

im sure there must be a better way ,

Well I hope so Geoff, because if there isn't then it's going back! I bought it specifically so I can control the lighting, set the mood etc, and not the machine. I'll have a word with the outlet I bought it from later and let you know the outcome.

Cheers.

Jeff,

Spoke to a Prolight techy chap and he couldn't tell me how to find and isolate a chase either! He's going to have a play tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday) and phone me back with his findings.

Should he find you cannot isolate a chase as we want then for me it doesn't do the job and it will go back. I've already had that confirmed by my supplier also.

Keep you updated. :)

yeah i'd be interested to hear what he finds out...

the thing thats really bugging me, is that on sound activation, you cant seem adjust the speed and fade times,,,

so when the music gets loud, the lights go too fast...

i'm planning on modding my one, fitting a volume pot to the internal mic, that should solve it..

You can isolate a chase but it is quite tricky, you have to identify the one you want to play and loop, then deselect the ones you have playing! Which in his own words was difficult as there were no leds below the chase buttons to indicate which chases are active! He seemed quite confused over the whole issue and agreed it was a big flaw in the design.

Regarding your point Jeff the sound to light issue is also not right, in that there is no sensitivity dial.

The upshot is mine has gone back and I have a refund. Not really happy about having to return it as I really wanted it to work, unfortunately it didn't do the job I needed it to.

I'm thinking along the lines maybe of going down the software road, somebody has recommended American Dj's My Dmx. Any thoughts anybody, good or bad kit?
